Kaiju Multiplayer Engine
Seamless Steam multiplayer in Unity.
Overview Video | Demo Download
Kaiju Multiplayer Engine comes packed with features to make multiplayer development as easy as possible, allowing you to focus on your gameplay:
- Work with your favourite networking stack of Netcode for GameObjects, PurrNet, or FishNet, or implement your own custom networking solution with built-in features for packing and interpolation!
- Test your game locally using Multiplayer Play Mode or ParrelSync.
- Browse lobbies, add custom filters, and invite and join friends! Lobbies can be set to public, friends only, or invite only, and have kicking and banning support.
- Full voice and text chat support!
- Easily use the Steam overlay and Steam's achievements, stats, and leaderboards in your game.
- Dedicated editor windows to easily test all functionality.
- A developer UI allows for testing all functionality in standalone builds.
- Works on all platforms Steam supports being Windows, Mac, and Linux. While Steam functionality will not work on other platforms, Kaiju Multiplayer Engine has been designed to not throw errors on other platforms, allowing you to keep it in your project for cross-platform games.
- Play a demo of Kaiju Multiplayer Engine from the included standalone networking sample which demonstrates the developer UI! Demo available for Windows. As this demo is not a full Steam release, certain features such as the Steam overlay will not function.
Important
Kaiju Multiplayer Engine has been converted to use the Unity Package Manager (UPM). If you are using the legacy ".unitypackage" version, you can acquire the new version here. If you purchased the ".unitypackage" version, you will receive the new version for free. Currently, the Asset Store does not support free upgrades between ".unitypackage" assets and UPM packages, so both versions will be maintained with the same updates until support is added to give all purchasers of the ".unitypackage" version of this asset the free upgrade to the UPM version.
